Satellite (The Dish)

A satellite dish is just a special kind of antenna designed to focus on a specific broadcast . Standard dish consists of a curved surface (parabola) looks like a bowl and feed horn (Feed horn) in the middle to send the signal. Control signal through the horn . And the plate was mixed signal beam is relatively narrow.

Parabolic dish reflects energy from the feed horn . Caused a small beam .

Plate at the end of the receiver can not send data to it. It can only receive data Plates for the receiver works in a completely opposite plate of the transmitter. When a beam hits the curved section of the plate. Curved surface , it reflects the radio signal inward at one point only. A concave mirror to focus on one point in particular.

Parabolic dish as radio came to a point on the feed horn .

In this case, the point is that the dish's feed horn , which passes the signal to the receiver device ideally no obstructions that hinder the satellite to the receiver . So fast it will get a clear signal .

In some systems, the dish needs to pick up signals from two or more satellites at the same time . Satellite may be in a position adjacent to the receiver general until the first feed horn , which can receive signals from satellites, two satellites have this partial attenuation of the signal quality . Because the receiver is not intended to make the received signals from multiple satellites . The design philosophy is to use the new horn two or more to receive signals from the satellites . While several ships signaled the arc of the plate. Will reflect the different angles . So that no one will interfere with the signal horn each .

Components in the middle of the feed horn is Low Noise Blockdown Converter or LNB LNB to amplify radio signals reflected from the dish and filters out the noise to LNB transmission filter and then expanded to machine. satellite receiver inside the viewer's house .
